Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today launched Iqra’ Program and presents its education zakat totalling RM234,000 to 16 selected schools at Dewan Darul Kifayah, Batu Caves, Selangor.

This event was officiated by YB. Dato’ Seri Jamil Khir Haji Baharom, Minister in Prime Minister’s Department and attended by YB. Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, TH Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Johan Abdullah, TH Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Heads of Agencies in Prime Minister’s Department, representatives from Ministry of Education, Sentul Education officer, headmasters, teachers and TH Staff.

Four hundreds and sixty eight students received school supplies worth RM 200 and cash worth RM 300 each. This contribution is hoped to motivate students to excel in their studies.

Iqra’ Program is one of the TH Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programs and for this year, TH has distributed its education zakat worth RM2 million to 4,000 students from 178 schools.
