Terms and Conditions

  1. Campaign Period 

    Beginning on 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 and divided into 2 types of draws, namely the quarterly draw and the main draw.
     
  2. Eligibility for Participation 

    1. Open to all TH depositors aged 17 and under, who are also TaHa Club member;

    2. Make additional savings of at least RM100.00 during the campaign period; Have performed Hajj and/or have registered for Haj; AND

    3. Have performed Hajj and/or have registered for Hajj; AND

    4. Makes no withdrawals during the campaign period.

    5. Children of permanent TH staff members working under service contracts or apprenticeship (including Management Trainees) are not eligible to participate in this Campaign. 
  3. Campaign Mechanism
     
    1. Depositors who meet the participation requirements will be given qualifying units (EU) according to the amount of additional savings accumulated during the campaign period.

    2. Every additional savings in multiples of RM100.00 will be given 1 EU.

    3. Depositors with a minimum of 50 EU are eligible to participate in the grand prize draw.
  4. Draw and Prizes
     
    1. The prizes for this Campaign are as follows ("Prize"):-

    2. TH reserves the right to exchange cash prizes for non-cash prizes. Non-cash prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash (for non-cash prizes) or other goods in whole or in part.

    3. TH will contact all selected winners to inform them of their victory and verify their address. Winners who cannot be contacted will have their winnings canceled and replaced with the next winner.

    4. All prizes and values ​​stated are correct at the time of printing and/or publication. Prize images displayed in any marketing and advertising materials are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual prize received.

    5. Each Eligible Participant is entitled to participate in more than one (1) draw and/or prize in this Campaign if the Eligible Participant is included in the Eligibility Criteria, and complies with the Terms and Conditions during the Campaign Period.

    6. To the extent permitted by law, TH expressly excludes and disclaims any representation, warranty or endorsement, express or implied, written or oral, with respect to the prize unless the same is due to gross negligence and willful misconduct on the part of TH.
  5. Selection of Winners
     
    1. Winners for this Campaign will be selected through a computerised draw system.

    2. Winners must have updated personal information in the TH system including current address, mobile phone number and valid email address for notification and verification. 

    3. TH reserves the right to request relevant documents or written proof of identification including information regarding the winner's age and place of residence before the winner can claim the Prize. 
       
    4. TH reserves the right at its absolute discretion to select another Eligible Participant to replace any winner who is ineligible or disqualified for this Campaign and/or Prize for any reason without reason during the Campaign Period.
  6. General Terms and Conditions 

    1. Eligible Participants are advised to read and understand the Terms and Conditions that have been set before participating in this Campaign. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

    2. To participate in this Campaign, Eligible Participants must be included in the Eligibility Criteria. Unless stated otherwise by TH, Eligible Participants do not need to sign or fill in any application form to participate in this Campaign. 

    3. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants:-

      1. will agree and allow his personal data to be collected, processed and used by TH in accordance with TH's Privacy Notice to the extent necessary for the purposes of this Campaign including for marketing and promotional activities. In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, TH will protect the personal data of Eligible Participants;

      2. will agree to TH publishing or displaying their names or photographs in marketing media or TH's website for this Campaign (whichever is applicable) as specified to be suitable for publicity purposes; and 
         

      3. will agree to TH's decision on all matters related to this Campaign, the selection of winners and prizes through the automatic draw engine is final, conclusive and binding on all Eligible Participants. TH is not obliged to present any reason and no correspondence and/or appeal to dispute the decision made by TH will be entertained.

    4. The TH account belonging to the Eligible Participant MUST not be closed, the account must be valid and/or not frozen as determined by TH or subject to any attachment, contrary order imposed by the court or any authority permitted by law Campaign Period and/or before delivery of the Prize, otherwise the Eligible Participant will be disqualified from participating in this Campaign and/or the Prize will be forfeited. An Eligible Participant who loses the right to a Prize is not entitled to receive any payment or compensation.

    5. TH reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify Eligible Participant who it determines have interfered with the entry process or failed to meet the requirements and meet the established Terms and Conditions.

    6. TH hereby will not be responsible for any tax liability that may arise from the Prizes or their use. If there is any responsibility for tax filing or payment of tax (if any) to the relevant authorities further to the acceptance of the prizes it remains under the sole responsibility of the winner. It is the winner's responsibility to seek independent advice regarding tax responsibilities that may arise in relation to their financial position. 

    7. TH at its absolute discretion reserves the right to amend, cancel, terminate or suspend this Campaign and/or the Terms and Conditions from time to time, in whole or in part, by giving sufficient notice within a period of not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date of amendment , cancellation, termination or suspension thereof. Notification methods will be made either in writing, through electronic media, or notices displayed at TH Branch Offices or on TH's website or through other methods that may be determined by TH. For the avoidance of doubt, amendment, cancellation, termination, or suspension of the Campaign by TH and/or the Terms and Conditions do not entitle the Eligible Participant of this Campaign to make any claim or compensation against TH for any loss or damage or anything incurred or experienced by the Participant Eligible either directly or indirectly as a result of such amendment, cancellation, termination or suspension.

    8. TH has the absolute right to replace any prize won with another prize of the same value or with any prize that TH deems appropriate by giving notice to the Eligible Participant at least fourteen (14) days before the date of each scheduled draw. by TH. Notification methods can be made either in writing through electronic media or notices displayed at THc Branch Offices or on the TH website or through any method that will be determined by TH. 

    9. The prizes in this Campaign do not include other costs such as transport and so on, but the costs as stated in these Terms and Conditions (if any).

    10. Winners may be invited to attend a prize-giving ceremony or similar event (if any) at a location and date to be determined later. The winners are fully responsible for all expenses incurred to attend the prize giving ceremony.

    11. TH will not be responsible for any errors in the interpretation of facts, and/or any injury and/or loss of life and/or loss of property as a result of Prizes won through this Campaign and will not be liable in any way either directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage or any personal injury and/or anything suffered by the Prize Winners that occurs directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, in connection with this Campaign or their participation in This campaign or the acceptance or while using the Prize or anything experienced while on the way to collect the prize and/or as a result of any act or omission whatsoever on the part of TH, except for any liability not excluded by law. TH will not be responsible in any way for any matters beyond TH's control in relation to this Campaign and matters related to it.

    12. Eligible Participants are advised to visit the TH website from time to time to review these Terms and Conditions and ensure they have the latest information on any changes or amendments to these Terms and Conditions. 

    13. The Eligible Participant is responsible for ensuring that the telephone number and/or email address and/or correspondence address is current and updated with TH. Notifications from TH are based on the Eligible Participant's telephone number and mailing address in Malaysia maintained with TH. TH will not be liable to the Eligible Participant for any loss (including loss of opportunity and consequential loss arising therefrom) suffered or any failure to deliver any information if the telephone number and/or mailing address of the Eligible Participant is not current or not true.

    14. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotion, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Campaign, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. 
    15. All these Terms and Conditions are subject to and will be interpreted in accordance with Malaysian law and the Eligible Participant agrees to be bound by the jurisdiction of the Malaysian Courts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Smart Saving Campaign 2024

QUESTION ANSWER
1. What is Smart Savings Campaign 2024 and why is it organised?  The Smart Saving Campaign 2024 is a savings campaign organised by TH that offers cash prizes with a total amount of RM50,000.00.

This campaign was held to encourage young TH depositors aged 17 and below who are also TaHa Club members to increase their savings and register for Hajj at a young age.
2. Who can join?  All TaHa Club members (TH depositors aged 17 and under) who has an active account are eligible to join.
3. When does the campaign period start/end?  It begins on 1 January to 30 June 2024 for the first draw and 1 July to 31 December 2024 for the second draw.
4. How to join? TH depositors are eligible to participate in this campaign when they :- 
  1. make an additional savings of at least RM100.00 during the campaign period; 
  2. have registered for Hajj / performed Hajj;
  3. and makes no withdrawals are made during the campaign period.
5. How many draws will TH make?  TH will carry out 2 draws which are in July 2024 and January 2025. The draw date may change subject to the suitability of time, data availability and others.
6. What is the EU and how are EU grants made? 
  • EU stands for Eligibility Unit (eligibility to get votes). 
  • Depositors who meet the participation requirements will be given EUs according to the amount of additional savings accumulated during the campaign period. 
  • Every additional savings in multiples of RM100.00 will be given 1EU.
7. Does it comply with TH's sharia concept?  Yes. Through the wakalah contract, depositors have the opportunity to get added value and other benefits under this contract and this campaign has been approved by the TH Syariah Advisory Committee.

9. Can gifts be transferred to family members?  Prizes are non-transferable.

How is the selection made and notified to the winners?

  • Winners will be selected through a computerised draw system. 
  • The announcement of the winners will be made through TH's official social media and followed by an official letter from TH.

Depositors can get more information by : 

  1. Contacting the Tabung Haji Contact Center (THCC) at 03-6207 1919; 
  2. Going to the nearest TH Branch office;
