Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today distributed contributions totalling RM130,000 to 260 individuals from Selangor under the TH's Ehsan Programme in conjunction with Ramadan 1435H/2014M. 

A member of TH Board of Directors, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Hashim Meon, handed over the donations at the Dewan Melawati, TH Hotel Kelana Jaya, Selangor. 

The recipients consist of single parents, the elderly and people with disabilities which include eight (8) selected recipients of the TH's Baiti project in Selangor. 

This year, TH targets to distribute RM1.7 million zakat to a total of 3,424 poor and needy recipients throughout the country. Selangor is the fourth location in the tour series of Ehsan Project this year. Each recipient receives cash donation amounting to RM500 each.

Ehsan Project is an annual TH CSR programme held during Ramadan aimed at reducing the financial burden of the poor, single parents, the elderly and people with disabilities in their preparation for the upcoming Syawal. It creates a caring society and at the same time, gives joy to these unfortunate groups.
