SHAH ALAM, December 28, 2021- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today received the Muzakki Recognition (IKTIRAF) introduced by the Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) as a sign of appreciation towards the muzakki (zakat contributors) in Selangor who have been committed towards the welfare of asnaf under LZS by performing the duty of contributing business zakat, in a ceremony held here.

Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and 33 corporate bodies received  the IKTIRAF Berlian (Diamond) recognition for being muzakki who contributes a total of more than RM1,000,000 in business zakat to LZS and thus ensuring the sustainability of zakat distribution in Selangor.

The IKTIRAF award, which was inaugurally introduced, is divided into four categories, namely:

i. IKTIRAF Diamond - Appreciation to muzakki who pays zakat of more than RM1,000,000
ii. IKTIRAF Gold - Appreciation to muzakki who pays zakat between RM500,000 to RM999,999
iii. IKTIRAF Silver - Appreciation to muzakki who pays zakat between RM100,000 to RM499,999
iv. Bronze IKTIRAF - Appreciation to muzakki who pays zakat between RM50,000 to RM99,999.

Also present were the Chairman of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, Dato' Seri Utama Diraja Mufti of Selangor, Dato' Dr. Anhar Opir, LZS Chairman, Tan Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail and LZS Deputy Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Ambrin Buang. Also present at the event was LZS Chief Executive Officer, Saipolyazan M. Yusop.
