KUALA LUMPUR, 28 August 2020 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over TH Zakat amounting to RM7,082,402.81 for the financial year ending 2019 to the Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK) in a ceremony held in Istana Darul Aman, Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.

His Royal Highness Tuanku Sultan of Kedah has accepted the TH Zakat from YBhg. Datuk Nik Mohd Hasyudeen bin Yusoff, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TH.

The zakat payment for the state of Kedah has recorded an increase in comparison to 2018 (RM6,843,903.51). The ceremony, which was held in full compliance with the SOP set by the National Security Council (MKN) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia, was also attended by YBhg. Dato' Paduka Ammar bin Dato' Shaikh Mahmood Naim, Kedah State Secretary, Tuan Syeikh Zakaria bin Othman, LZNK Chief Executive Officer, Encik Mohd Sani bin Harun, LZNK Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Collection Operations), Haji Nawawi bin Ishak, State Director of TH Kedah, TH staff members and invited guests from several agencies.
